The enticingly named iPod gadget makers iLuv fail to continue that trend in launching their 7-inch screen iPod-docking media player: the i1055. Memorably named, it isn’t, but it does look good.

The player plays your videos while your hides iPod neatly behind it in an integrated dock which also allows recharging while connected to AC power. A DVD player is tucked in there too, offering DVD playback alongside CDs and MP3 CDs.

It has a built-in rechargeable battery, with a life of 3 hours (okay, it’s not great, but it’s long enough for an epic film – what more do you want?), a car adapter and car seat strap, and an AV cable for TV playback.

Seemingly, it offers compatibility with pretty much everything you could wish for in a very neat and compact design.
